Basketball is the most anticipated Olympic event for many Americans. The good ol' days of when a team of johnson, jordan, barkley, bird and the others would beat every other country by about 40 points now appears to be deeply ingrained in the national identity. However, in the last few Olympic trials, the US has lost its glory and crown, having lost to Lithuania and Spain.
